🌟 AMA Summary
Our February AMA launched a new three-part series titled "Beyond Price," focusing on how funeral homes can identify and articulate their unique value to families. We challenged the common industry assumption that price is the primary driver for families, demonstrating instead that education and trust are what families are truly choosing.
Key highlights included a deep dive into the Three Pillars of Value: Efficiency, Personalized Service, and Knowledge, explaining that a firm doesn't need to excel at everything but must be exceptionally clear on at least one strength. We also discussed the "education problem," where staff often default to price when they lack the simple language needed to explain complex internal processes or industry jargon. By reframing efficiency as a tool for safety and using personalized care to build emotional trust, funeral directors can move from being "order takers" to true guides, leading families through the arrangement process with more confidence and clarity.
